A number of the drives are also already sold out. Crazy this year.

If you want to eat in a decent restaurant you should make reservations NOW. Baja Cantina has a big car crowd on Thursday nights anyway…this year will be over the top. Tarpy's is another great car hangout place. And lots of other great places to eat but with the Parade on top of normal summer crowds...

I'm planning to come down there for the first Sunday and Monday to spectate at the Concours, but I don't think I'll be able to spend the whole week there.

Let me know if anyone wants to meet up and grab a beer.

I'm LPR so Marina is my regular AX event and Laguna Seca is my local DE so I'll be at both those events.
Volunteered for the concours so I can park early but my car has too many medals to compete.

+993 on the rennlist beer G2G. Sounds like concours is a popular event, just need a time and place...

With all the smart phones, tablets, as well as the lounge TV at the host hotel, I'm sure there will be many attendees who will be up to date with the LeMans running order throughout the duration of the race.

I reserved space for 8 for dinner at Tarpy's at 6:30 Monday night. They said if I need to change the party size to give them a call. So far we have four including my wife and me. Anyone want to join us?

I've never been there. Is it an option to get together there for drinks after dinner? I'll call them back and see if that could work.

Tarpy's is a great place, big car crowds especially when races are at Laguna Seca.
They have rooms that can accommodate various size groups.

We will be there at 6:45, party of eight maybe going to nine mostly family (although cousin Bill was a previous President of Laguna Seca and is on Porsche number 2X) and will look to see if we can change it to 6:30.

I will send a PM so we can coordinate and ask that our reservations be placed in the same room. If anyone else want to join in make a reservation for your party and send me a PM with the reservation info. I will try to get everyone in the same room.

I wouldn't mind joining up but am showing a car in the Concours (not my 993 but one of my 3.2's)so not sure when I will be free but might need some 993 conversation and beers!

I can't make it to concours but I can make it to the parade on the following saturday. Does anyone know what that parade really is? Is it like everyone cruising in their porsche on laguna seca or just around monterey or what? Planning to drive two of our 993 down, and hotel booked

You need to be registered in order to do the Parade drive. There are no details on the Parade drive yet other than it is Saturday and rumored to include a "lap" around Laguna Seca, lap as in a snail's pace, and in fact the Parade drive may be filled up already. I would assume the drive will also cruise through areas of Monterey as well. No that it will ever happen but we ought to get CHP escort and hit Big Sur at high speed

I saw on the Parade Registration Guide that there is no entrant limit to the Parade of Porsches. I'm trying to contact an event coordinator to ask what's going on. We'll see.

I just checked my registration and it shows the Parade of Porsches closed. My guess is there is a wait list now.

Just got a reply from Kathleen. It is confirmed that Parade of Porsches is full. What's surprising is that, there isn't even a wait list and I was instructed to keep an eye out for "The Board" at "the Hospitality" for tickets to events (whatever that means...) Anyway, oh well, couldn't get to the Parade of Porsche, but hotel booked, so I just signed up for concours and gimmick rally instead. I'll prob get slaughter/ win an award for worse condition car out there, but hey, how often does one get to enter a giant pca event concours especially near my home here in the bay areaa. I sorta want to just park the car there and run away before the group of gentlemen with clipboards reach me to tell me I fail every check
Anyway, Hope to bump into some of you guys out there
