**OT** My '67 Austin Mini Moke restoration **OT**
Sorry for the OT, but i thought i'd introduce my new car to my favorite rennlist forum. I also posted here since i need some help picking a blue Porsche color. I'm deciding between mexico blue, riviera blue, gulf blue, or turquoise. I remember all the "fun" threads about riviera blue, and figure this was the best crowd for a little biased judgement. Fresh paint along with white beach friendly interior... Kinda like the blue one in the pics below.
For those of you who don"t know what a Mini Moke is, here is link to the wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_Moke The car I purchased is a british made 1967 Austin Mini Moke, that actually was part of the Catalina rental fleet. I'm embarking on a full restoration, i want to build it right, and plan on a full nut and bolt restoration with one of the best mini restoration shops in the country. Upgrading to a 1275 engine, and discs brakes in the process (along with everything else) this is going to be fun beach cruiser for the weekends in Malibu. Attached are some before pics of my actual (and very photogenic) orange car, believe me its in need of a full resto... that paint job was awful 30 years ago! I have lots of other existing pics of the car, so let me know if I should post those as well.
Thanks for reading and feel free to chime in!

Love the old Minis.
Those blues were unusual at one time, but now they are abundant.
Good color for the beach, otherwise...meh.
Good luck with the resto. Are you starting a thread?

Any one have an opinion in color? The blu in the picture I posted looks close to riviera if in not mistaken.
Thanks!

Almost 3 years later but body work is just about done! Keeping her in the factory white and as original as possible. I know this summer is out of the question, but hopefully it moves quick from here on out.

Looks like a fun project- always thought those would be a kick to cruise around in- better than a golf cart!
Wondered about that Topolino too! At first I thought it might be a Jolly until I got a better look at it.

That's a Renault 4CV in the back ground! I have one just like it. The french version of the VW bug. Failed miserably for the French, worked wonders for VW. I'll drag race your moke against my Messerschmitt. Maybe down Hollywood blvd
