I like it. Not every 911 needs to be completely original. Projects like this are fun and bring life to cars that wouldn't otherwise have it.

John

I agree about the 993. but on the 80s and early 90s 911s, mehh. I think 964s dressed with nice fenders to look last of the air-cooled's would be great.....

some of you may have been at a PCA event last spring at Road America, where this very nice gentleman (from Montana/Idaho?) badly bend up his silver 993TT... can't remember if it was an S, but holy Christ, I question the decision to bring that car to push hard... if I remember, he shipped 2 or 3 pristine 993s to the event and wrecked one of his most prized cars. but if there was to be a wreck, a mocked up 964 with goddess fenders would have been a better choice imo.... I see no reason whatsoever to be sentimental about kitting up 964s.... if you must take an air-cooled 911 to the track, why not dress up a 964 with fiberglass 993 fenders? to see a 993 wrecked is abject horror.

Anyone have experience with the G50 trans and adjustment? The clutch will not hold in 5th gear when boost comes on. I thought it was a break in issue but kennedy said it only requires a couple hundred miles. They said it was probably an adjustment issue?

Fyi, there are way less 964s than 993s...

i really had a hodge podge set up for my fueling. i was using the factory pump and lines to custom made fittings. it worked fine but as far as ease of replacement/fixing i took all the oem lines out and made it universal.

new valve cover. shaved and the oil fill moved to a much better spot. the stock location was right under the deck lid and was a complete pain.
