Talking World record 1,208 911s on 1 circuit track! What's your favorite? (Silverstone video)

Which RLers were there?

What's your favorite of the 1,208 911s? Post the time it crosses the line!

There are Speedsters in the 2nd and 3rd rows, but
one of my favorite RLers crosses the line at 1:50...

GT1 in front row is pretty cool. And a little blue cab caboose!

What kind of aftermarket fuchs on the silver WB @ 1:31?

Turbo stripes at 1:54 and Martini @ 8:57.

Other speedsters @ 1:48, 3:13, 3:47, 9:07. 1:48 is awfully hard to see though

Motorsport Teddy bear @ 13:25! A bear in Pascha @ 14:38.

But no 959s? What's with that?

Take care,

Does everyone consider a 959 a 911?

Well spotted Eagle Eyes!!! Nearly missed seeing that brief snippet myself!

Here's a little snap taking by my wife whilst waiting on track to get rolling again!

The very last car in the parade (Purple 964 @ 6:20) is owned by RLer 'PurpleEnemy'.

How many countries would you guess were represented there, or all GB?

Looks like an incredible event. Who organized it?

The event is the annual Silverstone Classic - featuring many classic racers, F1, touring cars, sports and group C cars (LeMans) - based over a 'long' weekend.
Porsche Club GB piggy backed their annual national gathering and with Silverstone's help & co-operation arranged the parade to celebrate 50years of 911. The aim was 911 x 911's, - they passed that somewhat!
Not sure if there were many different nationalities there - but for sure, two German cars as I met them on the ferry on Thursday having been in Europe last week on business! There was a brand new Porsche Club 911 destined for Hong Kong - the owner having arranged a detour before getting it shipped! The UK 'Club' car was also there for good measure!
Was good!

Wow, this is so cool. I wish they did something even on a quarter scale like this in Toronto. Love seeing stuff like this and huge GTGs.

I was there for the weekend but with the BMW crew as the corporate hospitality is better, they where much nearer the beer and their tent was air conditioned lol

Great to see so many 911 together.

The highlight for me was drooling over a 993 GT in comfort spec

I hope some of the guys there timed their visit to the international paddock to see the old F1 and GT cars getting prepped for the racing. Great to be able to walk around the garages talking to owners and mechanics working on the cars.
