Default BSRD 993 C4 and TT drive shaft fix coming soon!

Just a quick note that we are finalizing our design to fix a common failure point for many 993C4 and 993TT drive shafts in the torque tubes for these models. Below is a picture of this failure that we uncovered during our R&D work for our newest line of Super Bearings for these torque tubes. The failure is due to the design of the 993 torque tube drive shaft which was a complete departure from the 964 C4 torque tube drive shafts.

Although we currently have the new 993 Super Bearings ready to go, we felt it necessary to also R&D a fix for this common failure point since a torque tube rebuild for these platforms would not be complete without it.

The beauty is it will be cheaper and better than a replacement torque tube from Porsche.

We have also designed a fix for those drive shafts that have not yet fractured but in all probability will in the future.

We already have a tester who is willing to try out our prototype who broke his 993 C4 drive shaft from driving aggressively in the snow.

Just waned to share this news since we are getting more inquires about our services from 993 owners and thought to make this announcement to the owners on Rennlist.

I see the prices of the 944 and 928 rebuilds, what's your price for a 993 TT rebuild? And does that include straightening out the center shaft?

Hi Ken,

We are still figuring it out as far as pricing for a complete rebuild.

It will be cheaper than Porsche's rebuilt and better, at least that's the plan.
