immobilizer light on clock not working-blowing fuse
'95 993 C4 CAB; I remember having this happen before but cannot remember what I had to do to correct. Immobilizer only works with lock-unlock; when turning key to position 2, no light in clock nor does it disarm when I push the key-fob button.
Fuse? if yes, which one as I cannot locate ....thanks,
found it to be fuse #11; also inside lights. replaced with spec 7.5 amp, worked once then blew the fuse again. Checked dome light, looks to be fine, glove box OK, door switches work. Any ideas where to look for the fault/short?
thanks,

Yes. Check engine bay and trunk lights as well; they're on the same circuit. Ground shorts in the lighting wiring usually pops fuse 11, and has your stated affect on the immobilizer light.
To isolate the same problem on my car, I pulled all the lighting from their respective recepticals and replaced the bulbs one at a time till I found the culprit.

You're most welcome...
As an added note, I found the ultra-simplistic trunk light bulb receivers (the simple metal portion that hold the bulb) rocked in their plastic housing and came in contact with the metal hood. As you might imagine, this hod a negative effect on fuse #11
