gt2 vs RS

Really?
Read the posts after my response to politely explain the different bodies of the variants mentioned.
Consider RS man and myself have owned and driven most RS variants and our "knowledge" is based on real world, rather than internet derived experience.
Only trying to help and didn't feel particularly condescending with my response, do note the smiley, which I always understood, implied a certain jokey, tongue in cheek quality?

I think you take it too sensitively. There are lots of misinformation on even the Rennlist so correcting them where there is an obvious error is not my idea of condescending as I have quoted the incorrect info and corrected it for the individual's info. I'm sure clubsport1 has no such ill meaning either. I should add that there are A LOT MORE knowledgeable folks out there than clubsport1 or I such as Bill Verberg who has posted on this thread.

I guess some of the tone here lately has taken its tole. There is a LOT of knowledge here.
Please note also that although I have never owned an RS/RSCS/GT2/GT2CS/RSR etc, I've seen many over the years, right from rolling off the line at the factory, in dealer showrooms when new (and untouched as of yet), to recent sightings/sittings of various cars. The subtle differences on many of these cars can be very intriguing.
Again, no offence to either Clubsport1 or RSman as your 1st hand knowledge of these cars is respected and appreciated.

And I'm sure you've seen RLer Thacher's RSR replica he built a few years back:
I think this is a cool way to go "widebody" on a NB without any frankenstien widebody panel welding...

993 front spoilers are typically interchangeable between NB or WB. Similar concept: visualize how the same is usually true for a rear spoiler, especially putting a WB on a NB (not the rear bumper; the wing over the deck lid): a Turbo tail can be put on a NB. (Obviously, a flat tail from a NB cannot fit on a car with an intercooler that conflicts by taking up space, but that is a vertical limitation; not due to width requirements.)
If you haven't seen the "PCA PARADE 2014 PICTURE THREAD - GT2, RS," click there for more examples of an acquaintance's cars.
He conveniently labeled them for easy ID & then parked 'em next to each other for comparison

And if you are curious how to make a GT2 EVO out of a NB car, check out my project photos:

OK, the 993 RSR is flares on a narrow 993 and the GT2 is flares on a wide 993.
This implies wider tires can go on a GT2 than an RSR?
Correct?

Also the flares are different size; smaller on the RSR, wider on the GT2.
And then there is the GT2 EVO with even wider flares.
I can fit 14" wide slicks in the rear of my car...
