Lightbulb Fayetteville, NC Cars and Coffee / Breakfast

Is there any interest in conducting a Cars and Coffee in the Fayetteville, NC area?

I would personally like to have it near a spot where breakfast could be had. Maybe someplace like the Rainbow Resturant on Ramsey.

The 1st Saturday of the month is Cary Cars and Coffee.
The 2nd Saturday there is a Fayetteville all makes Cars and Coffee (I am thinking something more Porsche/German specific).
That leaves 3rd and 4th Saturdays open.

Any interest/thoughts?

Thanks,

Wow...The last time I was on Bragg Blvd., I had someone drive by my car and point a 45 at me out of their window. Of course this was a while back, but it is hard for me to imagine 993's in Fayetteville

There are still parts of town to avoid, but Fayetteville has improved immensely. Parts of Bragg Blvd are full of strip joints and pawn shops.

Joe,
I would go to the Raleigh Cars & Coffee instead... huge, and diverse turnout.

Here's a link to some pictures from last months event: In a parking lot full of color, only Grey and Black 964s

It's just after 8 and the cars are starting to rolling into the lot.

I was there; it was a good show. I took my son, we were headed to see a Ferrari when he had to make a pit stop and we missed it.

I am not sure if I can make the April event. If a group wants to get together I would be very willing to link up and drive as a group. The easy place would be exit 58 on I-95 around 0700. Another easy link up stop would be Peadons.

I have to admit I get a little tired of driving a hour to every Porsche event I want to attend.

I also like the idea of going to the Fayetteville Cars and Coffee. I know it is at Westlake Shopping Center, on the Second Saturday, but I do not know the time.

Joe, I'm around most of the time so a regular meeting of Porsche owners for a morning coffee/breakfast sounds good. I've made the trip to the triangle cars and coffee but normally a little later in the morning, 9-9:30. The main area is small so I park across the street.

Here are links for anyone to help keep up with regional events ...

Triangle C&C ... Note the discussion about looking for a new Raleigh location.

Fayetteville C&C

Pinehurst PCA site

Hurricane PCA ... where I recall a couple of Fayetteville owners but not sure who.

Might as well add Wilmington C&C while I'm on a roll.

On 4/6, there is an all day open house at Rick Ware Racing in Thomasville if that would be of interest (PCA event - 2 hour drive). And of course the Pinehurst Concours the first weekend of May.

Here are shots from when I met a 997 owner across from Rude Awakening coffee shop on Hay street ...

My precious

Also, note Miss November in the 2013 calendar ...

Shameless calendar shot plug ...

Not nearly as good as Udo's pictures but they'll do.

The cars and coffee on the 2nd Sat starts at 0830 or so, but I usually just get there at 0900ish, and hang out until lunch time. We usually head to Buffalo Wild Wings on Skibo with a few guys from the group afterward. Like I said, it is a mixed crowd- some showings are better than others, and they are more interested in the 3-4 GTRs than anything. Would be nice to have another Pcar there though, for sure.
I'll PM you my number
