I'm thinking of buying the 19s as my summer wheels. Any feedback on them? If I buy them, I will be unloading a set of OEM 993TT hollow spoke twists.

And also a shame they don't make the RUF wheel in 18"....thinking they would sell a bunch.

Can anybody comment on the feel of 19"s on our cars? I assume the ride is affected a good deal, but would 19s be a PITA even on decent roads during the summer months?

The offsets are great, they won't require a large rear spacer since original RUFs are designed for NB cars.

A set of Hypersilver would look great on your C4S esp w/aerokit. Here is a silver C4S with MPSS tires.

No issues at all, a good number of guys running them here in Vancouver with Hankooks including myself. I put them thru a good test this past June, the Okanagan CanAm tour, 1500+ kms in 3 days and thru some very unexpected rough terrain roads.

I'm running the 993TT factory twists right now w/Bridgestone Pole Position tires 225/40/18 & 285/30/18. Honestly the difference in ride harshness was very minimal vs. RUFs w/Hankooks 235/35/19 & 295/30/19. Unfortunately I'm not comparing the same tire manufacturer, if you went from 17s --> 19s then your talking a serious change in ride comfort.

The 993TT hollow spoke twists you might want to keep them since they are getting harder to find nowadays.

Ray (guy who owns ROtec) is a solid guy, he is one of the Porsche gear-heads around here.

As for 19"s, people have commented that they feel heavy , and they do a bit ; however they also look great. It is kind-of weird though in that there are LOTS of people getting these in Vancouver, so what used to be fairly rare (which I enjoyed with my car) is now common.

I need to think of something unusual to pull my car out of the pack again... sigh.

Cheers,

Mike

Outside of 993s, I'm not sure 18s would do so well in terms of sales, maybe 964s but even that era leans towards speedlines etc.

I do know 19s are very versatile, these also sell well and fit 996, 997, 987 etc.

But you never know maybe 18s will be available one day, probably a matter of determining if sales warrant the investment into production.

Why? I have original (not copy) RUF's on my car and I am very happy.

If you want them, you tell him -> info@rotteccarbon.com -> that is the only way he will know what the market demands.

Cheers,

Mike

Will do. I also have originals but for $800 a set it would be kind of hard to pass up.
