993 for RS America?

Burning Brakes
I have driven both. The RS America is really something special and is in my opinion one of the best buys in Porsches. They are more tail happy than the 993's and require more skill to drive fast, which can be fun.
Drive them both and then make your decision. You will hopefully know which one feels right for you.

IMHO, an RS America is one of the silliest purchases out there. You're paying an additional ~$15K for a manual steering rack that you can buy and install in a 964 C2 for $1K and have the same car.
PS - $80K for a 964! i.e., $50K for a manual rack....thought I'd heard it all....

Haha once I read your post and thought about the rear spoiler, the dealer failed because it is a fixed rear spoiler. Good thing this isn't Beachwood!

I recently bought an RSA so I am definitely a fan, but that price seems completely unrealistic. I came across several low mileage, very clean, similarly optioned RSAs around for $30k less than that.
