Check light is on with cab top down after manual conversion?
But light is off when cabriolet top is latched down with top motors. Anyone else experience this?
I didnt do the manual conversion, dealer did when I had top motor replaced, ouch! So dont ask what I did
Just wondering if this is the end result of the conversion for all those who did it or whether some signal to the check light can be interrupted. Thx

Yep, this is correct. My understanding is that because the motor is not lowering the top down, it will not engage the switch to indicate that the top is fully stowed, hence the light.

after I manually lower the top I press the switch to lower it for a couple seconds, this shuts off the warning light.
if this doesn't work you could pull the carpeted panel and adjust the micro switch so it is making contact with the top down.

Mine does the same. The computer thinks that the top is up, but the sensors read it as being down, so it gives the error light.
Just have to hit the reset button to get rid of the light. Another option is disconnecting the bulb. I find reseting the "!" is more the pain, but not that big a deal.
