Hershey Swap Meet 2012 pics (and 1 cool thing I got which I'll be selling :o)
I got an email from my uncle last night that simply said "I"m going to Hershey after all". We weren't going to go since they said it was going to rain that day. I made a last minute decision to meet him in York PA and drive up in his Boxster S. Really glad I went. It was MUCH better than I thought it would be and I've been there many time before. I guess since I missed last year, I was jonzing to get up there this year. For those of you that didn't make it...
I'm not much of a picture taker (cheap Canon Elph that fits in my pocket) but here ya go... I could have taken hundreds of pics but didn't.
Getting out of the car we had a view of so many Porsches. It's impossible to really capture a day like this on my tiny camera. 1000's of Porsches all in one parking lot.
As I'd mentioned on this forum before, the reason I originally HAD to have my first 911, was because a yellow late 80's Carrera passed me on the George Washington Pkwy and took my breathe away. Maybe it was this one! He said this color was 1 of 5 sold in the US in this color for 1987. This one had 87k miles on it and he wanted $32k for it The owned is the gent in the brown shirt and sunglasses
Gorgeous example. Wanted so bad...
Great condition
Loved this one too... cool rocker panel on the drivers side with "PORSCHE" in black on black
Love...at first sight
Some guy standing next to me said this was a 1/4 million dollar car. I literally knew nothing about it other than that it was so nice, visually
Don't even know what I'm looking at but it's cool... and clean
Hot
There was so much more emptly space in engine compartments back then. Now, they're stuffed so tight with, well, engine stuff.
Much better in person. Yellow rocks.
This car was wide open and the owner was nowhere to be found for the 20 minutes we were checking it out! I didn't realize that they only made these for 2 years. The lowest priced one in the US is $336k right now and only a few are for sale according to a guy I talked to that was standing there and quite knowledgeable.
Stunning
CGT
It caused quite a stir 6 years after they were last made. I'm sure it always will
Another CGT with red interior on this one.
Can you imagine tooling around town doing errands in this? Nice...
Cool color. Not many pick Porsches out there
Some might call this Rose, we found it to be pink
How can anyone not love these old Porsches?
Never seen a luggage rack like this before... striking
Great plate. There were dozens I would have wanted to take pics of...
9-9-3 (s)
At least 8 bright red Porsches in this pic
Timeless. It was great hanging out with the Rennlist guys for a few minutes
Dynamic Guards Red duo
Can never get enough out of this one... Saw it in the NYC Auto show 2 weeks ago and now here. Nice to meet you, Jager.
As we've seen above, color can make a car
It was great that so many owners let you sit in their cars
Not for sale (said the sign)
Incredible looking car and restored with original color
That's all folks! Post any other Hershey pics on this thread if you like....

PS - I bought this new set of Porsche Design Driver's Selection drinking glasses in perfect (Porsche Part # WAP-050-260-0B), unused condition at Hershey today but need to sell them as I found something else I'm going to use instead for drinking glasses. Just PM me if you're interested. The dealer was selling them at the show for $99 - he only had 1 set and this was them (List was $125), I got them for $90 and will sell them for $85 if anyone's interested. They're pretty killer looking...only selling as a set, in the original thick box they came in.
(not my pics but higher quality pics)
Four glasses featuring the outlines of the four different Porsche models: Carrera, Cayman, Cayenne and Panamera. Comes in high-quality gift packaging. Dishwasher safe. Safety packed for secure delivery.

Thanks for posting. This was one of the rare editions of this event that wasn't wet and/or cold. I was there before 9 with a friend. We didn't wander the main parking area until much later (too many other things and people to see). That's when I finally saw the Rennlist sign and name tags, one row away from where I parked. Lots of great cars although no one was in the area at the time.

Just using that hat and shades to hide behind the Flyers meltdown and eventual exit from the playoffs. Toronto Maple Leafs could probably beat them right now.

Beef Wellington paired with an '07 Pinot Noir to celebrate . You didn't see my sarcasm with the Toronto Maple Leafs comment??! Flyers are my bracket pick until they hoist Lord Stanleys Cup once again. Although they'll have to step up their game if Ottawa knocks out the Rangers
