This issue just started on my last drive; prior to this my oil pressure gauge would mimic my RPM gauge essentially. However, I stopped off on the way home and when I got back on the road I noticed my oil pressure would top out about 2 1/2 bars, oil up to temp. The pressure at idle was fine, right at 1 bar but increasing the RPMs only got it to the 2 1/2 bars. I searched around and found nothing similar but was thinking it might be one of the pressure relief valves. Any suggestions? BTW, 1996 C2 with 42K miles and a recent oil pressure sending unit replacement.

Normally you want to see 2.5 at idle and 5 at throttle.
Could be oil pressure sending unit going bad, which is common.
