Pulling the bulb was free, LOL. I'll be putting the stock ECU back in shortly so I'm not concerned with it. Bulb goes back in and back to stock Thanks for the tip though!

pump...

Hello to all,

i have this ECU from Juuso (55 pin, year 1994) and use it with the standard o2 sensor. I like to install a wideband sensor for better calibrating the ECU.

Does anybody know which wideband sensor (Bosch?) would fit ? Partnumber...?

I will speak for the MS3 which should also apply to Juuso's unit as well. The stock O2 sensors are narrow bands. You can't just install wide bands in their place. You will need a wide band controller(something like the LC-1) and input the data into the unit through a different aux channel.

I plan to purchase one of these units. I use the same unit in my Miata track car so I can be a good source for support for those that want to take the plunge.

+1, A controller is a must. I use a Innovate LC-1 as well, has been great for me. You just need to find a spare analog input (0v to 5v) and wire it up. I believe the MS3 has calibration files built in for the LC-1.

The LC-1 has been replaced by the LC-2, I have no experience with this, however everything I have read it is much better that the previous model.

There are others on the market as well.

Hi,

You should contact Juuso directly. I think some of his newer versions include a sideband controller and in any case it can be easily added using the stock wiring.

Hi guys using the Megasquirt MS3 (Juuso)

there is a knock sensing kit available:

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/m...kit-p-522.html

which is not a bad thing for the aircooled engines

what i see, since 2 years already...

The last post was in 2015, I contacted Juuso back in september but he didnt have any revised version on the 55-pin ecu. Does anyone know if there has been any updates to the 55-pin ECU?

Interested in this setup for a 55-pin ECU as well. Any end-user feedback? Have heard many positive things about MS3.

Some info on this:

There are several of both 55-pin and 88-pin ECUs in use at the moment.
Juuso has challenges with making new ECUs because of time constraints, he will make more but patience is needed.
There have been issues with ignition cutting off at over 6000rpm and it has been tracked down to the distributor setup on the 993. Same problem exists with any aftermarket ECU.
Easiest way around it is to modify the distributors so they permanently locked and do not adjust timing according to revs.
The other way around it would be to change to direct ignition (wasted spark or sequential) which is also supported by the ECU.

Best way to get one of these ECUs is to contact Juuso. The contact details are here in this thread. Just be patient.

I tried to contact Juuso but he didn't reply, I would like to know if he's still planning to make one for 964.

Just listed an 88pin version originally destined for a '96 993 but never used in the marketplace.
