'97 C2 died while driving help
Hi All,
On the way to work today, the car intermittently died until it finally did. The car starts and runs for a second or two then stops running. I replaced the DME from new to old then new with no avail. I am thinking it's not the fuel pump, but a clogged fuel filter or dead fuel pressure regulator. Thoughts?
The car is at my INDY at the moments...
TIA,
sjsfiji

I thought so too but I replaced it with a known good one verified a month or so ago. Also, the car actually runs for a second or two so that confirms, at least I think, that the fuel pump is getting juice.

Any check engine light on?
Could be fuel pump, crank position sensor, fuel filter...or a ground for the fuel or ignition system.

Due to my haste, I did notice multiple lights go on and did not see if the CEL stayed after cranking. I think your diagnosys is correct. I guess I will find out later on today...
thank you for the reply gents...

Got my baby back from my INDY and it was a dead fuel pump. At 100K on the original, I guess it was time to retire. Anyhow, thank you to all that have replied.
