Every year we do the New Years Eve North Georgia Mountain Run, we say we're going to do a run in warmer weather. June 18-19 is the weekend before the summer solstice and should be perfect weather.

If we get started early, we could avoid a lot of the typical summer traffic and have plenty of time to drive and visit. We could run the route that we had originally planned for the last New Years Eve run but had to shorten due to snow (EDIT: Or any other route for that matter).

Anyone interested in a run one of those days?

Out of town that weekend, but could make the weekend before if that becomes an option? Was planning to take a drive that Sunday anyway. Would be great to have some company.

We would be interested. Are you sure about the weekends not being crowded though in June? Helen is usually packed on weekends and it sure is busy here every weekend after Memorial Day.

Yep...Weekends are crowded, but in the past, every time I've tred to set up a weekday event in warm weather, the large majority have to work.

I just threw it out there to get something started. There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest right now.

Also, whatever we do or don't do, I'd think we'd want to stay away from Helen...
