Default iPhone holder

Last week I installed this cheap product for my iPhone. I did not want to drill anywhere visible in the car so the only option I came up with was to mount the optional L bracket that came with the product onto the Support Tunnel Bracket under the drivers side dash. Then I just bend the flexible soft steel as shown.

I just did not want to install those suction cup options as it would interfere with the tomtom mounted there.

What are others using?

I rarely use my phone while I drive, so I just put it on my passenger seat or in the cubby hole behind the e-brake, where it fits perfectly.

The ash tray has a removable insert. I took it out and the phone slips perfectly into the ash tray, plus it is on an angle so it won't fall out. With a bluetooth speaker, this works very well. It is in a handy to reach location, plus it optimizes the ash tray, which would otherwise go unused. Once I update my stereo, I will have the USB cable located inside the ash tray, where I can plug in the phone for audio playback and power supply.

I have one of these, with the 993 specific mounting bracket. That bracket goes over the center vents. My Parrot is "hidden" in the ashtray.

I use a Jabra Freeway which connects via Bluetooth and also allows voice dialing as well as streaming Pandora and Spotify from the iPhone. It also announces who is calling so you need keep the phone in your pocket.

Wont your phone be "upside down" then? I use mine in the ashtray just like you and find it to be a good solution. Just have to plug and unplug which is a minor hassle.

Hmmm. My Android has the mini-USB on the top so it shouldn't be a problem. The stereo I want has Bluetooth streaming so the phone does not have to be plugged in but this would be better for keeping the battery charged.

Just run the TomTom Software on your iPhone. Works awesome....only 1 device.
