Default I'm considering a wrap

I love the longhoods. This one in particular is a favorite. What do you think of a similar silver stripe wrapped on my car?

Looks good on a race car. You can pick something up for a couple hundred bucks and if you don't like it just peel it off. Just work with the graphic designer and don't make it end abruptly at, say, the end of the hood. It may end up looking really cool.

what he said! Make it a complete stripe-off hood, down bumper cover...even on the small part of the lower bumper cover below the grill. Same treatment down the back, might get a little funky looking around the rear grill.

Love the idea...same silver as the wheels?

I love Hoggel! I want to do the same but wonder about cost? Have you gotten any quotes yet?

I don't know about going all the way down... I think rounding it off would be nice. Ferrari does a pretty good job with their stripes:

Not yet. I sent an email similar to this post to a local PCAer and Club racer who owns a wrap place. I'll call them next week and set up an appointment to see what they can do.

Ya, I agree. I was thinking of rounding it off just above the apex of the front bumper with the outside stripe. Over the top and rounding it off in the back just above the Carrera. Probably just over the top and bottom edges of the rear deck grill, not the vanes. But as you suggested I'll consult with the artistic types.

Sweet, I want to wrap mine full, new color and all. Anxious to hear what he says. Good luck!

Go all the way down front and rear, I'd love to see the finished product...

apparently mongrelcat and I seem to share taste in music (going to see them in Durham in 3 weeks.... I started with the Fragile tour in '71, I've lost count of the number of times)

When you wrote "wrap", I thought you were doing the whole car. Either way, it'll probably look cool, assuming you use the right contrasting color(s).

I thought about wrapping the hood and bumper. I don't know anything about this stuff yet. Is it protective?

I got a calk back from the shop. They are going to send some renderings tomorrow.

Here's a pic of the owner's car. It's white.

I am doing this! Here are the renderings they sent. I'll get with them and select a silver color and work on the stripe ends. But for $300!

very cool ! Does that stripe affect the paint, though? I.E. fading etc
