Default Fading?

No issues with fading.

1. I never left decals on for more than 12 months.
2. Car wasn't in sun.
3. Paint correction and a good polish works wonders.

Saying the above - on my old 930 - i had the same scheme for 3 years. No issues what so ever and man i drive the heck out of that thing - yes it was black too.

I stopped by the stripper, or is that striper, a week ago so they could take some pics and look at the car. They said they'd have some renderings next week.

I like the Martini livery but I need something just a bit more subtle.

I think I'm spending more time deciding on a stripe than I did choosing my car. The graphic design person has changed in the last two years and not better IMO. Below is the most recent rendering. My wife is a graphic designer and has agreed to make an exception to her no-gratis-work rule to make some views.

I like the black on silver stripe Jager posted above. My wife has suggested a deeper than arena stripe like the black one. To be continued.

You're spending so much time on the stripe b/c your car looks so damn good without one. I vote for passing on the graphics.

Ted-- You can try e-mailing the photographer directly: photo.eg...com. For reference, I think his stock #s are 6028 and 6153.
Good luck!

Finally found 1 more photo for ya:

With that in mind, here's another Martini for your enjoyment...
Click here for a video, of a Panama Porsche Club member's stripes.

Hoggel, I'm not feeling the strippes you have on your latest post. Borderline ugly for me...
To each his own, of course.

Ya, I think the most recent renderings are over the border into ugly. The 997 stripe doesn't seem to work on the 993, the poor rendering makes it look sloppy, the red outline doesn't work with arena red. But other than that … ? You see why I'm an engineer, not an artist?

RocketJohn hit it on the head. I'm struggling to decide because haven't found anything that I think is an improvement over how the car looks now (sans stripe) and I'm not real keen on spending the money for purely aesthetics. I do love the look of that longhood in my first post. Maybe I’ll just get a poster and call it good.

Good idea Jager. I keep telling him if he stays out of trouble the car will be his. I may as well let him in on the decisions about what it looks like.
