Another new 993 gt2 project
I bought this car 4 months ago with two broken engines. The aim is to have it back to 993 gt 2 look.
So we first rebuild one engine, using some parts from the second engine and new parts.
The parts are from Hahn in germany.
Now we are working on the body, lot of work, all the carbon 997 parts went off .

Funny how after they're hacked and hacked and hacked to stay as current as possible when raced, they always come back to their original configuration.
Couple of local racer guys picked up two "935s" about 25 years ago out of Asia. Underneath they were '74 RSRs. Extensive, more than they were worth at the time, restoration brought them back to their Fotoquelle and Jagermeister liveried roots. (Wish I had before photos. They're probably online somewhere.)
Enjoy!

Unfortunately the basis is only a 1997 993 tt not a gt2, I know this car for years , it's the one on the down of the Magny cours vid :
This car was raced until 2014 in the V de V races.
The first engine had the electrical loom very old which could explain this ...

Since this is a 993 GT2 conversion threat, I always had the following question :
Is it possible to convert a standard 993 C2 coupe to look like GT2 and make the conversion fully reversible ?
I figured that the front and rear bumpers, rear wing, door sills are 100% reversible.
The only problem are the fender extenders that I think require cutting and drilling... Is there a way (some magic way) to put those fender extenders without damaging the fenders ?
Furthermore, would the turbo / GT2 rear bumper fit the narrow body C2 ???
I hope my questing is relevant to this thread... Thanks !

The real problem is the rear fenders, you have to cut those rear wings for the extenders.
The front wings have to be changed for plastic wings with the front extenders, so except the rear every thing is reversible .
I own a 993 cup which have been modified to RSR body, now I have to set new rear wings to go back to cup body

Those two were the only non real gt2, mine was developed on a 993 tt basis, the second was a 993 rs basis . All the others were real gt2 race cars , one on a
993 gt2 club sport ( delivered by Porsche naked inside and with the cup roll cage , one of 15 I guess ?), this real rare car was for sale ten years ago for less than 90K € ! I should have bought it !!!!! Now the new owner is restoring it in the same workshop than me .
The first owner of my car had only road use, the second started to club race it with 4 wheels drive and then modified to 2 wd. After that he went thru power increase .. The thirdd owner makes all the 997 cosmetic changes and added more power with the large ( non Secan ) inter cooler and race turbos ( all made by Sportec in Switzerland ) up to 700 hp !
Now I am the fourth owner and I have to return to 993 look and maybe less hp , the aim is to race this car in the new Gt Classic ( 1980 to 1999 cars ) championship . Sorry for my poor English

So you are saying it is possible to put the front wing extenders without drilling ?
How would you do that ? My guess is film to protect the paint and glue on top of the film to keep the extenders ??
Also what about the side panels (below the doors) ? Are these easy to add or require drilling ? Thanks again !

No I changed the front steel wings for fibre wing then cutter them for fixing the extenders and kept the original wings in my garage, in that way it's more reversible than cutting the rear wings.
The side panels were glued ( windscreen glue I suppose ) no drilling needed.
