It's a URT-unified rear triangle single pivot bike...that is mid ninties technology at it's finest. Any URT bike I ever rode-Schwin Homegrown, Trek Y bike-had huge amounts of pedal induced motion. Maybe a modern rear shock with platform dampening could better control that motion now, but the eye to eye and stroke could be very unique.
I have seen these bikes with Shimano stuff, but the vast majority had a part spec that I had never heard of-not Campy, not Shimano, not Sram, etc...
This bike also weighed a ton if I remember correctly.
This isn't a bike you ride, at least seriously off road, it's a bike to collect. The asking price is probably reasonable, I think these were twice that at least at the time.

Cool bike. Never seen one before. Too bad it's a pig but makes for a great wall piece.

29lbs for a full suspension, solid spoke, & old school disk brakes, isn't bad. My old Specialized FS race bike was 28lbs, & about as light as could be made back then. My hardtail is 21lbs, that's about as light as you can get a hardtail.
IMHO, this is a nice bike for it's day, but a new $2000 bike will out perform it in every way, & a $3500 one will kill it. Yea, the bike was most likely $8000 new, but bikes don't hold value, it's more like a $800 bike. But then you put in the "Porsche" in it, & maybe a bit more for the Porscheness of it.

I have a Jeep Limited mountain bike I bought in 1997 at a Jeep gathering in Vail, CO. Its made by Ross and as the bike shop guys joked "you mean dress for less." Its a POS and a tank that now resides in the basement in a corner.
If its $3500---$3000 of it is the name Porsche.

There was a safety recall on certain models also. The technology was pretty much on par with upper end gear in it's day, but you did pay that "Porsche Tax" on it. It cost what a true, custom built elite set-up would have cost if not more.
edit: I just read the spec sheet, not the carbon fiber frame and component version, way overpriced in my opinion.

Three Wheelin'
Rode my buddy's some - great cruiser on road but a real pig in the weight department. VERY plush ride. Definitely a fun time, just not something to take off the road...
