Default My 1995 Riviera Blue Cab for Sale

06-08-10EDIT Car is still for sale I have sold the Turbo Tail and added the LED lights to the Turbo "S" ducts

PRICE DROP. Will sell to Rennlister for $31,900.00

I am moving to Nashville, TN and will not be needing my car. I want to free up all discretionary funds before we buy a house. I am not going to leave the 993 fold just take a brief hiatus. I have a CLK 430 Cab that I drive everyday anyway so I will be hunting an S car after we get settled in. Anyway, I have listed everything below about the car. I have owned it over a year and restored it to it's present condition. Everything done to the car was done with Porsche parts unless otherwise noted. If I forgot anything it is small. Of course a PPI is encouraged and I have documentation of all work done as well as receipts. I also have a photo library of all work performed during the restoration. Most of which can be seen by searching "Rivi Blue Cab" Car leaks no oil and is very strong. Many here have seen the car and there is not 1 chip, ding or scratch. I am thinking around the $34.9 mark for the car. I have well above that in the thing. It may not bring that in this current economy and if that's the fact I will just keep it. I hope all the service, upgrades and paint make the car worth what I am asking. The biggest selling points IMHO are color, the car is turnkey, nothing else needs to be done and all desirable upgrades are completed. I can take it to my mechanic and have a leakdown and compression done if someone is interested ( I did one when we started the restoration), but you should have that done on the PPI anyway. PM me if interested. In a way I hope it doesn't sell.

I have all receipts for work performed as well as over 100 pictures detailing the restoration process. There are absolutely no chips, scrapes, dings, rubs or damage to the paint. The interior is as clean. Most people think the car is brand new. I have only driven the car a total of 2681 miles since the restoration/mechanicals were done. The only issues with the care are

1. You have to help the top line up to the windshield when closing. I was going to make the top manual but never got around to it. The top does close all the way you just have to guide it in.

2. The CCU cut out on me once but worked fine after I pulled it and cleaned the contacts. The CCU’s are supposed to be finicky in 993’s it cut out on me when I was on a 9 hour trip for a minute or so. I felt it was necessary to mention in order to have full disclosure

3. The odometer quit working when the previous owner had it. I replaced the odometer gears and all is functioning properly. I made the previous owner refund a portion of my purchase price through small claims court. We never had a decision by a judge we came to a meeting of the minds. The odometer gears do fail in these cars and it would have not stopped me from the purchase as I was going to restore the car anyways. I just believe in full disclosure. There is no reflection of this in the Carfax or the title just informing you in the spirit of full disclosure.

Mike... good luck with the sale! That is a beautiful car. In a way, I'm glad it's not a coupe or I'd be sweating bullets trying to figure out how to make it happen.

Don't do it Mike. You'll be sorry.

Such a unique car. It'll be hard to replace.

But if you must,, GLWS.

Huh, must have fallen asleep for a few months--didn't realize today was April 1st...

After all the labor and time (and $$) you put in this car to make it as new, if you continue through with this sale, someone is getting an awesome car!

Good luck with the sale and move Mike!

I'll echo the comments here as well Mike and good luck with the sale. Someone will be getting a nicely sorted car in the best color and painted sport seats to boot! I think pricing is fair in light of the work done.
Cheers,
Bob

Bob:

I think the price is fair as well for all that has been done, but I am the seller so a little bias on my end. You couldn't buy a cab and do all I did and be at the 34.9 mark. I have only put 3,000 miles on the car in over a year.

Gorgeous car Mike! Best of luck with the sale. If you want to sell the Rufs separately, I'd be very interested

Mike,
I know this is a decision that was not made lightly. You have spent A LOT of time and money making this car perfect. Whoever buys this car will not need to do a thing except fill with gas and drive. I helped Mike with some of the restoration and can attest to how meticulous he was through the whole process. Mike made sure "there was no stone left unturned".
We hate to see you leave but we know it will be temporary.
