Default Idle Adjustment

Hello Fellow 993 Owners,

Just wondering if there is any way to adjust the warm idle on a 1998 993 S?

Based on the 3 prior 911s I have owned, I thought the "normal" idle was 750-800 rpm +/-. My 993 will dip will at warm idle and the car will shake for a second and then rebound to about 600rpm or so. Rather annoying so I wanted to see if there was anything I could adjust. I have recently cleaned the ICV.

Thanks for any assistance.

Tim

You may want to clean the ISV. See here for more details:

Sorry I called it the ICV that I cleaned. It was the ISV.
Thanks.

Search for ISV and idle together, because I think there is a set screw epoxied inside the ISV that you can adjust.

But to tell you the truth, I'd fix whatever your problem is correctly.
