Final sale of 2009 993 Calendars - **NOW CLOSED **
We (Rob Connon and myself) unfortunately still have 29 rare 993 calendars left from the batch that we printed last year. These Calendars are good to the end of 2009, and instead of having them sit on a shelf, I wanted to offer them again on Rennlist. In retrospect, we did not charge enough for the calendars from the beginning, so the contribution to Rennwish is tied up in the remaining calendars. Each calendar cost about $15 to print/package/ship. I was thinking on how to “release” these funds and had the following idea:
1 – Anyone who wants to purchase one or more 2009 993 calendars makes a donation directly to Rennwish for at least $15 (or up), and email/PM me proof of donation. You can make your contribution via Paypal directly to the charity by accessing the website (www.rennwish.com) and donating.
2 – I will package up and mail the ordered calendar's to each of the donators. I will pay for the envelope and postage myself as part of my contribution (a value of $3 for the envelope and $4 for the shipping).
This offer is limited to US and Canadian orders for now, just because the cost of shipping gets much higher off continent. However, if offshore Rennlisters are willing to contribute $20 (or up) for each calendar to Rennwish, I will cover that postage too.
I hope that everyone finds this acceptable, and please help me convert these calendars to funds for Rennwish!!
For those who are now placing an order , please just PM or post here and I will add you to the reserve list. Once I get confirmation that all are sold, you can then donate. I want to sure that if someone donates I have a calendar for them.
Cheers,
Mike

Mike,
I have to head to work in a few minutes, and I'm not sure I can get to Paypal through the proxy, but if I can't, I'm in for one. More to come.

Gee, going fast! I do not need anything fancy as proof of payment to Rennwish. Please do not send ME the money, it goes to Rennwish. If you send me the money, Paypal takes their cut, and then when I forward the money to Rennwish, they take another cut, and we end up losing money for no reason. This is why I want the payment to to directly into the Rennwish fund. Its also clear then who gets the money..
BTW, you can use this email address "baguafan@gmail.com" to notify me of payment.
Cheers,
Mike

I'll take one too. What's the net net net so that you guys are whole on the total deal, plus Rennwish gets the appropriate amount?
On a similar note, and yes things will certainly be changing this year, but how many of you have matching charitable contributions from your employers? My wife at Wells Fargo does, and I told her about Rennwish. As she didn't tell me anything late last year when she made her elections, she might have forgotten. So let this serve as a reminder to those who can!

However, the calendars left which are being sold here are fully paid for by the previous sale, so they actually "contain" the funds that should go to rennwish. I will kick in the shipping/envelopes since I feel bad that I did not charge enough to make a good contribution to Rennwish (which was the intention), and once these are all sold, i will make a final contribution of whatever funds are left.
If we do this again, we will be way more cautious. Its also a whole bunch of work (way more than I realized)....which is fine if the end result is a good chunk of dollars for Rennwish.
Am I being clear?
Cheers,
Mike

Mine is hanging at work and I'll bet my productivity has dropped since I stop and look at the current picture at least 10 times a day. It's nicely done and for a good cause as well.
