Looking at a post "looking for a poster of..." there seemed to be a common theme of Big Wheel owners (Green Machine). I wonder if this has something to do with the cars we drive today?

I had both actually at some point - early 70's - and that version had the plastic front tire like the Big Wheel. I had no idea they still made these....hmmmmmmm.

I had both too. The new green machine looks beefier. The rear wheels are definitely wider. Maybe it's an "S"???

I had a big wheel as a kid, they were great. A little scary going down steep hills when your feet couldn't keep up with the pedals. Stopping was an excercise in controlled collisions. I've also got some serious seat time on the green machine. We would drive both of these until the wheels would split down the middle from wear. Just to be clear, the big wheel and green machine are totally different (I thought the poll was a little misleading). Picture of big wheel below.

My Mom recently had a bunch of our pictures from our childhood scanned, put on CD and sent to all of the kids ... I swear the it looks like Fuchs on the front ... and apparently I had a need for speed even then!

I had both a big wheel, & a green machine. I remember my big wheel fell apart, it was used so much that the wheels wore through, & no longer worked! I used to do big power slides in it, & loved going as fast as I could down any hill!
