Were they green? If so, I think I had those after the Road Riders. I seem to remember that Sims made wheels, too.

Had a few Big Wheels and then upgraded to an Honda ATC 90 in 4th grade. Man, I thought I was the baddest thing around until the ATC 110 came out!! Had a Yamaha 225 DX for a while in high school--could ride wheelies for a mile on it.

Yes, the originals were green, but they were rather hard. Fast for downhill but not great for slalom. Later, they came out with the transparent yellow/redish color like the ones on the picture below with a stickier compound but not as fast. They were awesome for pool riding.

Sims wheels were great too. Here are some on ebay for sale if you want to mod your G&S...

I had a big wheel -- kept flat spotting the front plastic tire, ABS fuse was pulled.

Anyone here ever graduate to the Huffy monoshock BMX bike? I had tuffwheels on it too, flat black ones. Remmber those?

Skyways were the way to go for freestyle and big quaterpipe air... Mine was Curtis frame and forks with Skyways... and a PK Ripper with Z-Rims for racing set up. Those were the days!!

Duuuuude - I had a near similar setup. My Kryptonite wheels were double-conical greens. Also had the Clouds bushings in the Tracker trucks.

I was Big Wheel kid. Nothing like flying down those long hills with my friends and spinning out at the bottom, Great times. I did get my start in one of these Krazy Kars. Spun myself dizzy until I nearly puked.

Big wheels came way later. We had bikes with Banana seats, funny bars, chopper handle bars and of course, playing cards pegged on the spokes. We also had Go Karts and Fearless flyers. No pictures but fond memories.

You guys are a bunch of kids! I was driving motorcycles and cars in the mid-70's (but i always thought that a big wheel would have been cool, my littlest sister was young enough to have one).
