Default Where do I route the battery vent tube?

The battery that came with my 993 wasn't vented. I just picked up a proper Bosch battery, and would like to vent it to the outside world. Where is the tube that I can connect the battery to?

Here's a picture I just took. Where should I route the vent? (Perhaps by photoshop arrow?)

Thanks in advance.

Never mind. Now it's a s plain as day.
After a little more searching, I found this:

Which answers the question. (Although I hope this thread may be helpful to someone else some day.)

Thank you, Mark.

I try to search before I post, but there's always more to discover.

Thanks again.

Default Battery Vent Tube

Purchased my car last June and have recently experienced battery issue. Probably due to long periods of inactivity and not using a trickle charger. The battery in the car (Interstate MTP-48/H6) does not have the vent located in the center of the battery. The one piece cap that covers the cells has vent "plugs" on each end. Guessing that these could be removed and the vent tube connected that way?

I did check the vent tube in the car and it appears to be blocked. Where does it vent to/end up? Some of the pics here suggest it goes through the inner fender. Is it easy to access to service/replace?

Thanks in advance, Dave

I also have an Interstate battery. My car has the existing vent tube. I have no idea where to connect my existing vent tube on my Interstate battery.
Any help will be appreciated.

The correct 993 battery should have a port probably with a plastic cap in it on the forward side of the battery just below the positive terminal.

An L shaped nipple goes in the post and the plastic tube connected vents out a grommet and another nipple to the LH inner fender wall.

Not being a fan of venting into the sheet metal fender cavity I moved the vent outlet end to the floor pan and removed one of the drains near the spare tire. Just install a grommet with the correct OD and ID and it fits perfectly. Plastic hose was adequate length.

Now if the battery starts venting acid it’ll go under the car not on the inner fender.
