Default OT - Best Rolex service in Montreal

Thanks in advance for any recommendations. Would prefer skilled independent, honest service to a dealer. Must be my P-Car upbringing!

Unfortunately, the best service for a Rolex is the Authorized Rolex Repair Center. I don't know where it is for you in Canada, but just check the official website. You, as an individual may deal with them directly. You do NOT need to go to a dealer.
If you go to TimeZone.com, there is a guy - "Nad" who lives on the Panerai Forum who I believe is from Montreal and might be able to help with a local watchmaker.

Thanks. One of the dealers locally services in house. Another offered to send it to Toronto H/O. A third offered to send it to "a guy". Hence the confusion.

Would be most happy to take it to somewhere where they care!

Merci Bob. I know at least Chateau D'Ivoire does the service in house.

Cheers

My GMT is off being serviced by Rolex in NYC right now. A full cleaning/reconditiong costs between $500-600 USD depending on what it needs. The watch will come back looking like new. I have used independent watch makers with decent results in the past, but most experts say the best thing is to send it to Rolex if you have the time and $$ to do so.

You may be able to find someone locally for less $$. I would be extremely careful about shipping the watch to any independent service, as I have heard about watches being stolen. Someone at the post office must have gotten wise to the addresses of watchmakers and know that it's a package worth "losing".
