Spare catalyst?
Is there anyone in the UK who has a spare Bishoff type catalyst? I'm going to try removing the cats, weld it back up and get a live remap to see what power it makes.
I'm in the Manchester area, but will be willing to travel within reason.
Thanks for any help.
Nick.

Cat removal
I don't know what extra hp is gained but my 94 c2 certainly now sounds like a bit of an animal. On second thoughts it does feel a bit more peppy.Well worth the effort.

100 cel cats would be the easiest solution, but they are a bit pticey new and don't know where I can get any second hand. I've found an old cat for £150 so seems like the cheap option. I'm hoping once I get the old one off it should be relatively easy to swap it back come MOT time with new bolts etc.
Also thought I'd look at some of the heat sheilds under there. As with most UK cars they look a bit rough.
I'm interested to see if I get over the typical 300 (ish)bhp a remap gives with std cats.
Nick.

Hi Nick,
There was arecent posting by someone looking at 100 cell cats and one of the links he provided showed cores at not too bad prices. Alternatively search for Mark Budgen and his supercharged 993. He has 100 cell cats in a standard cat shell. Apparently, it's not optimal for performance but obviously will be an improvement over the standard very-restricted set-up.
Cheers,
David
