Seattle Rennlisters: Reliable Source for 93 Octane Fuel?
Hi Folks,
Others have laid witness to the general availability of 93 octane pump gas in Seattle. For the life of me, I can't find any. I've been to 6 different Shell, Chevron, and 76 stations in and around Queen Anne, the U District, and Bellevue. 92 has been the max at all of them. Although it's not a huge difference, I think every octane point counts with these high compression engines.
I was able to find 93 with no problem in Bremerton when I was recently out there at a PCA event.
Does anyone have a station to recommend that has 93 regularly here in Seattle (or in Bellevue)?
Thanks in advance,
-Robert

It does make a difference...I always fill up with 94 when I am in Vancouver BC. Not everybodies butt dyno can feel it but I do! The car is crisper on throttle response and it does run smoother. It won't accellerate faster at WOT as the mixture gets real rich. The engine should be running cooler.
I too would like a Seattle/Eastside source for 93 or 94. I have bought race gas in 5 gal cans from a fuel supply outfit in south Seattle and then blended it to get 94.
Cheers

yeap it does make a difference. I filled up in the Seattle area when I visited Randy ( trying to save over our gas prices here) and my car would be a bit rough at start-up and it was not running ultra smooth. I filled up again over the weekend with Chevron 94 up here and the car is running much better while at start-up is ultra smooth.

There's a Cenex station with 94 octane in Auburn that I hit-up on the way to SIR. But up here in Seattle I've not found anything better than 92. Here's a map:
