I eliminated the wind noise from my Cab!
Two things were bugging me this spring. A squeak in the suspension and louder than ever wind noise between the Cab top and the window. I solved the wind noise!
First I researched all the methods of adjusting the windows to eliminate the gap between the top an the window. The most difficult process involves removing the door pannel and adjusting the regulator position, realligning the door striker or reworking the lifting scissor mechanism. Before you go here - try what worked for me.
There are two seals attached to the top and side of the Cab top window opening. The top seal was catching on my window before letting the window snap closed. An when the window did close there was still a gap bewteen the seals and the window resulting in wind noise.
First, open the top to expose the seals.
The pull pack the rubber to expose the adjustable fasteners. I circle each screw to mark the original position.
The next photo shows the adjustable screws on the fabric covered side seal.
I loosened the screws on each seal and pulled the seal outward as I retightened the screws. After each adjustment I closed the top and checked the seal by pulling a sheet of paper between the seal and the window.
I got to a point where the pressure on the paper was even across the top and down the side of the window. I went for a test drive on the highway and NO MORE NOISE!!! (Except for my sqeaking sway bar but that is another story.)
Funny thing , with the seals adjusted, they are tight against the window and the window seats cleanly without catching on the outer part of the seal.
Just before I quit for the night I wiped down both top seals with a silcone lubricant. My doors shut sweet.

It seems every time I log on here lately . . . there's more and more cool info . . . that those who are more mechanically inclined than others of us . . . are willing to share . . . and in great detail may I ad.
In the words of Mr. Walrod . . . "Is this a great place or what?" I submit . . . YES.
Thanks again Dave.

Dennis, The rubber pops right back. The side seal is a no-brainer and the top seal, just sqeeze it together as you push it back down. The easiest way to open the top seal is to start at the hinge side and hook your finger underneath. As you as you try his you will say, "Duh, someone actually took the bandwidth to write this up!" On a DIY scale of 1 to 10, this is a 1. You only need a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws.

Thanks Bob, I have greased those swaybar bushings once, already. No help, but I may try again or I might just take it to Jerry at EPE and ask him to solve it.

I took another test run to the airport this morning, loving it. For my finer adjustments, I used a flat small screw driver to pry against the slotted screw holes. I am now fine tuning and checking the window seals with smaller strips of paper. But then again I am a bit ****.
