Default ~~~Group Buy CLOSING TODAY - Suspension~~~

QUOTES FINALIZED - Time To Buy
Link to previous thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/247711-possible-group-buy-suspension-either-pss9-or-hd-m030.html

I have now completed obtaining quotes from various sources on the Group Buy and have also received the okay from John D. So, below are the result of my searching.

The best pricing I was able to get was from ViperBob (Bob Brooks). As many of you know, Bob used to work for Devek, but now is in Florida on his own. He has provided the following pricing in the various configurations, so it would be up to you to decide what you want. This is probably the best solution given that we have people with different setups they're interested in. He has also indicated that the Bilstein HD shocks that he will be supply WILL include the extra 30mm thread AND a full lifetime Bilstein US warranty. However, Porsche is indicating that they only have 30 sets of front M030 springs in Germany (that is where ours are coming from/there are only a couple sets in the US). Therefore, once those are purchases, others may need to wait for additional production.

Although Bob is not let a Rennlist Sponsor, he is currently in the process of getting it set up. That being said, John D. indicated to me that although we certainly want to support the sponsors, if they can't meet the price, then it is up to us to decide who gets our business.

Here are the configuration options (please note they do NOT include shipping unless otherwise noted, which Bob indicated is probably about $25-50 depending on where you live.) Porsche has indicated they will expedite shipping of the M030 springs and sways. Porsche has an air shipment every Monday and Friday from Germany. So depending on when an order is placed, it may only be a few days for shipment. Bob will over stock so that hopefully there is no delay. Each configuration option includes all the necessary mounting hardware:

~Option 1 - HD's only~ $1050 + shipping
Includes:
- (4) Bilstein HD shocks (with 30mm extra threads and lifetime US warranty from Bilstein)

~Option 2 - HD's and RoW M030 Springs~ $1400 + shipping
Includes:
- (4) Bilstein HD shocks (with 30mm extra threads and lifetime US warranty from Bilstein)
- (4) RoW M030 Springs

~Option 3 - HD's, Row M030 Springs, M030 Sways~ $1850 (C2) / $1700 (C4) + shipping
Includes:
- (4) Bilstein HD shocks (with 30mm extra threads and lifetime US warranty from Bilstein)
- (4) RoW M030 Springs
- (1) Front 22mm M030 Sway Bar
- (1) Rear 20mm M030 Sway Bar
- (2) Rear Drop Links
- (2) Front Drop Links (C2 package ONLY)

~Option 4 - PSS-9 only~ $2100 (INCLUDING shipping)
Includes:
- (4) Bilstein PSS-9

~Option 5 - PSS-9 and TRG Sways~ $2725 (INCLUDING shipping)
Includes:
- (4) Bilstein PSS-9
- (2) Front/Rear TRG Sway Bars
- (2) Rear RS drop links

Both the Bilstein HD/M030 setup and the PSS-9 setup allow the car to be lowered to Euro specs.

If you're ready to order now, you can complete the sale through Bob Brooks (aka ViperBob - VB Motorsports http://www.vb-motorsports.com/ ). You can call him directly at 650.743.6801 or email him at losaltosbob@hotmail.com . Please speak with him regarding how to pay, any shipping questions, any service questions, etc.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU COMPLETE THE BUY OR OPT OUT. IF I DON'T SEE A POST FROM YOU, I'LL TRY TO PM YOU SO YOU DON'T MISS OUT.

What size TRG sway bars are you guys getting? Not that I really care, but I think I heard that TRG now offers a smaller bar for the front. They used to sell 25.4mm/22.2mm (F/R) but I think I heard they have a 23 or 24mm now for the front. I would strongly advise a bar smaller than 25mm for the front if possible. I run the loosest front bar setting and it's still too stiff; makes it hard to dial out the understeer. I personally think 25mm is inappropriate for 993's, at least with PSS9 suspension. Just my $0.02

Thanks, Kelly.

Eric - I'm not quite sure (I'm opting for the more frugal HD setup). Perhaps Bob can answer that.

Martin, just so others understand, as I understand it using your US M030 springs will maintain the standard 993 ride height (aka SUV height) rather than the lower Rest of World (RoW) ride height.

For option#5, you need to check if you need drop-links for the TRG swaybars.. i needed them for front and back.

The TRG bars in Option 5 come with the rear RS drop links as they are needed for the positioning of the sway bar under the toe arm. Hope that helps..

Rob- you can use the stock droplinks on the front when using TRG sways with PSS9's. That's what I'm doing on my C2 and also what I did on my C4.
