Hey AK, Looks like I'm going off the board and into the suspension upgrade soon as well. Wish I had enough know how to do it myself like you have but I most certainly don't. Can you drive that thing up there anymore or is she truly put away for 4 months?

4-ish on a 1-10 scale for me for first time with instructions and the right tools. Could do it all over in 3 hours probably. Beer sold separately and may have something to do with droplink position AK

There's nothing quite like seeing a 993 up on jackstands. Oh the possibilities...oh the $$'s.
Mine will be on stands soon, going through the same (winter arrives a little later in Michigan).
Noticed that you also painted the hubs silver. Looks good, planning to do the same (my 5-spokes really show all).
What kind of paint did you use? Was it high-temp? Is it required?
I am also thinking about polishing the muffler (to further clean up the under-fender area).
How many ounces of Heineken are required for the entire job?
enjoy -- Jeff

AK: it all looks great. But, 3 hours? Seriously? I'd love to do this mod somewhere down the road, but, frankly, it scares me. Your post gives me some hope, though (unless you're an experienced auto mechanic). I'm somewhat handy -- I rebuilt, retiled and regrouted my bathroom floor over Thanksgiving, and the toilet hasn't fallen through the floor yet -- but car repair is not something I've ever tackled. If I ever decide to try this, would you mind if I PM'd you (a whole bunch of times) for advice?
Anyway, congratulations. Too bad you can't drive the car for a while, but it will be great when you can. Thanks for sharing.

As is usual with these things, the first one (for me) took the longest but I managed to get them all done in a day (at leisure - although Gert never shipped me any Heinikens ).
And dont worry about the Hazet tool thingie, Gert shows you how to do it without...
Definitely worth doing yourself if you can (then take it straight down to the shop for alignment and corner balance )
