Default Vandalism repair help

I live in the city and park in a hotel covered parking lot. I haven't had any issues with vandalism for the past few months I've had my 991 and with my other car even before that. However, this past weekend when I went to my car for a drive, I noticed some shoe marks, dirt, and scuff marks on the hood. It seems like someone may have stepped on the hood. I wiped off the shoe marks and today when I had time to clean my car noted that the scuff marks would not come off. The scuff have a very minor almost 1 mm indentation to them. There is a clear bra on the hood (I believe Xpel -- installed by previous owner). I was concerned that the indentation may be a very subtle dent in the hood vs only indentation of the clear bra. I brought it to the dealer for further work up however I wanted to ask the community for input. Thank you.

Very hard to tell from the photo, but looks like just a scuff make on the clear bra. Clear bras are pretty tough and can take a lot of abuse.

Thanks! Good to know. It's difficult to capture the opaque scratch. It's the indentation that concerned me. Anyone have experiences with clear bra repair?

Looks like just the PPF marked up. Good you had it. Probably will just need to get the film replaced. Sometimes will get a bit better with a little heat from like a hair dryer. I'd have a PPF shop look at it. Better than the paint being marked! Film did its job.

People suck...

It looks like the clear bra is just scuffed. As STG mentioned, a hairdryer might work. I had Xpel Ultimate on my S4 and was told that parking in direct sun, on a hot day, would actually be enough for the film to self heal small wounds.

Clean the surface and run you flattened hand across it from several angles. If it's dented (as opposed to scuffed) you'll feel it.

There is a very subtle indentation maybe ~ 1 mm when I slide my finger perpendicular to the scuff, which is what seemed concerning for a hood dent however I'm not sure if the film itself could indent. I'll await to see what the dealer and PPF person thinks.

Isn't Xpel the self healing PPF? If so, pouring hot water over the film should correct the mar.

If you have a clear bra on the hood the marks will probably buff out. Take it to a good detailer. Probably will use a buffer.

I can't believe someone walked on your hood, probably more like either something fell on it. OR. rather maybe something hit it while you were driving.

The reason I don't think someone walked on it is because people don't have shoes that make straight lines. THAT and the hood I believe is aluminum...if someone walked on it I think you would see FAR more damage.....remember Porsche tells you specifically how to close the hood it's kinda delicate.

It was the distinct bottom of the shoe tread marks with associated dirt that was the most suspect finding. I appreciate all the input!

See if a little wax will remove the scuff mark, or try Mother's Race Rubber Remover. Park in the sun, to see if the film will self heal. If a slight indentation, try to find a top notch PDR guy to maybe work the slight dent out.

People do suck. This is why I'd never own a car like this living in an area with open public access parking.

Time to find more secure parking even if you have to pay for it?

Man that sucks!!
I'd just replace the sheet of vinyl.
If there's indentation along with the scuff marks, any paintless dent repair shop would make it 100% disappear. Check with your Porsche dealer, I'm sure they have a reputable dent service on file.

I am so sorry! Some people are terrible! Years ago when I had my black 993 someone had left a butt and vaginal imprint on the right front fender. My wife wasn't impressed but I thought it was a sweet jesture by a pcar lover.
