Default My 991.1 GTS is going on a diet this Spring

Going in next week

7 pounds saved, my 0-100 time is going to be about 1/1000 faster now

never listened to the base radio, it sucks and the noise that comes out of the 3.8L is music to my ears

I applaud you. When I was trying to find the lightest Boxster Spyder I could, I was amazed that all the cars I found had been spec'ed to add back all the weight that Porsche intended to remove. The radio and A/C delete would have been a killer spec to find.

I might have to buy that binnacle just in case I get up the nerve to see my ultra-low weight GTS through to its natural conclusion. Well done dude!

Drive with max 1/2 tank of fuel:

Weight savings= 16.9 x 6.183/2 =52.25 pounds saved

Drain windshield washer fluid:

a) less black streaks on drive's side rocker
b) weight saving approx 8.34 pounds

TOTAL SAVED:

Approx 61 pounds

*don't even get me started on the glovebox contents.

That Sammy looks like a 10-pounder.
So much for weight savings.
I'd say rip out the rear seats, drop the door panels and roof liner, rip out the carpets and prepare to be amazed.
