Default 991.2 prices when 992 is released

Can we speculate on what will the anticipated price drop be for the outgoing 991.2 models when the new 992 will be announced?

Will there be an anticipated drop in price of the pre-owned market values as well?

Depends on the reaction to the 992 or whatever Porsche calls it!
The 991.1 did not significantly impact value of the 997.2 at all when released.

The 997 to 996..well 996 is most disliked 911 model of all time.... and the 993 appreciated in Value.

Virtually none. Porsche will announce the black edition for those that are price conscious...bundling some options at no extra cost. Most others lease and don’t care about discounts.

I had a lease quote on a 156k optioned car for a 36 month term at 5%.

$2700.00/ mo x 36 = $97,200.00 + down payment + dealer fees ($4000).

Buy out of $84,000.00.

Grand total: ~$190,000.00

The delta of from 156k + tax to ~190k is around 27k....

Better to purchase outright and find ones own financing...

If you're worried about depreciation you have 2 options - something that starts with the letters "GT" or a 996.

It will depend on how Porsche prices the 992.

Unless they make a controversial change, the prices for the previous one always take a significant hit.

For instance if they go back to fried egg taillights, you can expect the 991.2 prices to stay strong.

Not concerned with depreciation.

I am interested if the release of the 992 will help "lower" the pre-owned market of the 991.2.

Everything that rolls suffers from depreciation... unless you own a Bmw 1m

991.1 saw a slight increase with the release of the vacuum cleaner sounding cars.

Correctly summarized.

I hope that the 992 will cause a dramatic or at least a moderate drop in pricing for the 991.2.
