Targa 4 GTS ... none in the USA yet??
LPD called and said couple cars landed yesterday with colors I'm interested in and asked if I would come down to check them out.
Turbo S coupe in Lava Orange (my color to order on a T4 GTS) and a Carmine Red Targa 4 ...SS hoop, not black, narrow body car.
They still had some wrappers on, but I liked both colors a great deal. I was surprised that "in the flesh", the LO was not as bright as it is in photos I've seen. Even the cell pix I took make LO look much more orange. BTAIM, I do like it and think a T4 GTS would look terrific in that color ... especially with the satin black bits on the GTS cars.
I have a deposit on a T4 GTS just waiting for the US allocation to hit. Sales manager told me ... and, I have no reason not to believe him ... that NO T4 GTS cars have been delivered to the USA. And, that there is only one place that makes the rear glass for the Targa cars and so it takes time. ??

All of the Targas are wide bodied, aren't they?
And the SS targa bar can be ordered on the GTS at no charge.
But I don't know of any on the ground here.
I was first on the list to change my order from Targa 4S to Targa GTS but my (smallish) dealer didn't get a first round allocation (only a coupe and cab). I kept the 4S order and added the Powerkit package instead. Would have deleted CL wheels anyhow and my last two cars had black wheels, so OK with the change to silver.

My T4 GTS starts production 4/14 and is due at port on 6/16.
very disappointed that option XAT has a production stop with no return date

Bingo ... !
LPD sales manager contacted me this morning.
The T4 GTS I have built ... but, not yet ordered ... will be a July build with a late August / early September delivery. I am told.
He said it's a pretty rare car. I knew this.
It will be a 2018 branded model year car. Of course, I would like to have a car earlier, but hey ... I'm still driving my 2015 Turbo coupe. Not too shabby. I can wait.
Dealer will let me know when an order can be placed ... said that 2018 cars can't be ordered yet. Couple weeks. Of course, I have the car 95% built. Perhaps more than that.
I'm pretty stoked!
