That is a beautiful story. I am so sorry for your loss. It is a great thing to be able to share the love of these cars with our kids, son or daughter. It's really great to have you back in a Porsche you will surely love. Welcome back.

So sorry for your loss, and very glad that you and your family have found some peace. Yes many of us know Porsche is a way of life, a family, and home to many important life memories.
I too recently rejoined the "family" with a 2013 Coupe after two years with Corvette Stingray. Great car, but not a Porsche.
And yes I had several 993's in the 90's, miss my Riviera blue Coupe to this day.
Welcome home, may your journey be one of peace, happiness and joy.

Great story. So sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what that must be like, I am glad that buying this car brings you some comfort.
No one NEEDS a 911. But the reasons for owning one always come down to one thing: the happiness it brings us. Enjoy in good health.

My oldest helped with the replacement. Next week we will do the rest! Exhaust Tips are already ceramic coated, also! She asked if I have picked out a name for the pcar. I responded no. She said it should be call her race car.
Upcoming mods gt spoiler and awe switchpath! Can't wait!

This- But, when you lose a child you do anything to bring even the most mundane memories back.
Sir, those words are lost to all that have not been there. Noticed this thread almost two weeks ago; understand that the intention here is to compliment your thread and not to diminish it in anyway. In one week, my son also will reach the 18 month mark since I lost him to a motorcycle accident, exactly 7 days before his 20th b-day.
Here's what I want you to know, he and his twin brother were varsity mat wrestlers, and, you guessed it, we had to put a little "extra" speed also to get them to their school meets & practices....as you mentioned, priceless! Pre & post season was even more hectic, although the mode of transportation was via a f350 CC diesel.
Just one more quick thing.....my twins learned how to use stick with a modified 930 with explicit instructions to never take it past .05bar or if you did your brother gets more seat time (worked every time)
Method to my madness....Just 3 weeks ago i bought a 991 911 tribute car for my boy. i can honestly say to you and your family, I get it, and God bless.
Basically I'm more of a private guy, but I"m going to go out on a limb here and say that the parallels between the two of us is a bit uncanny
Anyway, best to you and the family and if you invite me into your thread, I can take some pics and show what we bought to help move on a bit
