Yeah if my 911 caught fire like that right after the 10K service, I would inform the dealership and Porsche that they should consider themselves VERY lucky to only have to give me a new car. I would assume a good lawyer could put the fear of god in them. Good luck!

There is a recall recently posted that sounds like this!

You need a lawyer. Negligence is costly. Dealer will settle with first letter from attorney

Yikes...

Why are you just posting this now if it happened months ago? As STG alluded to with his screenshot - are you hoping the story goes viral to turn the screws on the dealer?

Good luck!

This is terrible. I know this dealer. Have never bought a car there. If it's been months since it happened and you are still talking about it you need to do more. This could have killed you if it happened like you said. A good lawyer is worth he investment. No dealer wants this type of press.

hmmm, looking into my crystal ball I see a new 911 option called "engine cam" with a press of a button you can see a 360 view of your engine, helps to inspect engine after service, or prove to people that there really is a motor back there.....

And do what with it, exactly?

If your car catches on fire, you don't want it anymore. Your only concern should be getting away from it and keeping onlookers at a safe distance. Optionally, ask if anyone brought marshmallows.

Good job. No attempt at humor gets by you.

Glad that you are ok and hope your lawyer can work with you to solve this unfortunate event. Until then, if you like to come back and share with us about the detail, it will be much appreciated. Good luck

Yes, I know. I posted the document that says this in the other thread.

I was agreeing about the negligence on the dealer part in his post.
