How much does one typically pay for ceramic coating their tips? I have the factory chrome that came with PSE and would like either black or a dark grey color.

they look great! I've been thinking I'd like to do my headers, x-pipe, mufflers, and tips - I really liked the VIVID Racing turbo that they did the entire exhaust in white. (I wouldn't do white, but I appreciated the look) Probably I'd go for a titanium or black / black-chrome finish. on the 997, the larger tips stand out in chrome but would blend better in black.

Anyone in the SF Bay Area have any good recommendations for ceramic coating that isn't exorbitant at the check out?

Here's a link to the Vivid Racing set up I mentioned earlier if you wanna have a look.

About $250. I used CCP Coatings in Detroit.

That sounds reasonable, Is the turnaround time similar to having them powdercoated?

I've had it done on two different cars, and both were about 2 weeks.

Can you, or anyone, give me a rough idea what ceramic coating costs?

EDIT: Sorry, missed the post with my answer.

I love that!. I'm tempted to get my valence painted GR so black pipes stand out .

Not sure about that. Maybe someone knows better than I do, but I'd be concerned about heat damage to the bumper cover.

Never thought of that.............
I have PSE and pipes are quite recessed. Still cold up here and haven't been driving hard. I'll have a look later today.

Timing : dropped them off today, ceramic coating is done Wednesday. I should be able to get them back immediately but have been told to let them cure for 5 days.

Cost : seems to be a range around $300 from what people are saying. I will wait until I have paid the final bill before I say anything, but my quote was for substantially less than that.

I painted my chrome tips with BBQ paint-flat black...1200 degree F. It matches the plastic trim and the exhaust crud and is an easy respray if needed after a tip cleaning. I think the can was 6 bucks. Excuse the orientation.
