Default Base Stereo

I am looking to upgrade from a 2014 C2 to a 2014C2S, but the C2S only has a base stereo. First question, is how is the sound from the base, mine has the Bose and the second question I have is does this come with Navigation.

If you see a map button it probably has the navigation. The base stereo sucks but the bose isn't much better. I don't use my stereo much. I tend to crack the windows and let the PSE do the work.

Base stereo is really bad. I have it. The tweeter upgrade is very nice. But still, it is unacceptable how bad it is stock...

The base stereo is just fine. For listening to a message from the Emergency Broadcasting System. For everything else, it's awful. Even the Bose sounds like Carnegie Hall by comparison.

Base stereo is just fine. I get compliments how good it sounds for base. This isn't a large car, so you cannot expect super deep rich bass and loud.

Agree the base stereo isn't terrible. Not amazing, but not terrible.

If you're an audophile then it's Burmeister or bust. I wouldn't even bother with Bose.

I have not seen the car, but it is a 2014 C2S, with very low miles. It has everything I want, just not sure about the base radio. Also, as I have not seen it, I do not know if it has a Nav button. Granted, I don't "need" Nav, I built a mount for my phone so I can use that. But my current C2 has it, and I got used to using it on the car, mostly for traffic. But I have also used it on trips, and I like how the directions pop up in the dash display, so that I do not really take my eyes too far of the road.

Well, if you're an audiophile, you've bought the wrong car.

Well the base radio has no satellite, so there's no real time traffic. I have the HD radio and it is not good. It's tolerable, but it's not good. The biggest drawback is that there is no sub, so there is zero depth to the sound. And no satellite means nothing but crappy local terrestrial radio. My CS and my Spyder both had the Bose with XM in them and they were light years better than the base radio.

That said, I would still buy the car I did, because it wasn't so bad as to offset the other things I like about the car. However, if I were ordering a new car, I'd spec it with the Burmester.

My base has nav standard. No traffic info though.

My next car will have Bose. If I were going to keep this one I'd need to upgrade the stereo.

Agree. I bought it to listen to the symphony of 6 cylinders at 9000 rpm.

I have a .2 w/ BOSE and my buddy has one w/ base stereo, honestly, I think I wasted my $2000(CND). The Base is okay, but the BOSE is also okay.

Both my previous 991.1 and my current 991.2 with base stereos (had) have satellite radios. It was an option on the 991.1 and is standard on the 991.2. The base stereo is perfectly adequate for listening to 50's rock and roll on XM, which is all that I use it for.
