Default Questions about pricing

Dear all,

I'm about to replace my 2001 Boxster with a 2013 991 convertible. Dealers in my area seem to price the CPO cars way over KBB.

Does anyone have a comment how realistic KBB prices are in SoCal?

I'm looking at a CPO basic 911 cabrio with PDK, Sport Chrono and 45k miles priced at $65k.

I think $65k for CPO 991 Cab sound about right. Options also make big difference in porsche world, can you list some of the options are?

IMO for $65k you should be getting an S with less miles. Just shop nationwide, even in NorCal you should be able to get much better deals.

that is not a good deal. I'd suggest to check out the HFS thread (Hot For Sale) and look at the last few months of prices to get a sense of good prices.

I can see why they are asking that number, but it seems high to me unless there's something very special about the spec. The miles would bug me given I think you can spend that or less on a car with 20K fewer miles.

Edit: And I'm saying that assuming you want to buy from a P dealer and get CPO. Because if you are willing to go private sale I think you can easily beat these numbers.

+1. You can also post the specific car there for feedback.

It seems like SoCal prices tend to be higher than most other areas.

I believe CPOing a car costs the dealer about $3000 which he may be retrieving from you.
