Default 2017-18 ? Targa4 GTS production numbers .... ??

Spent considerable time looking for the production numbers of the 991.2 T4
GTS. Nada ....

Anyone have some idea of how many of these cars Porsche will produce? Of course, I'm interested in USA / NA figures.

I suspect that the number will be pretty smallish since allocation numbers seem to be minimal.

Yes, I agree. Spent a good deal of time today looking for those numbers as well.

Only thing I found was very nebulous .... seems Targas (of all styles) make up around 13% of all 911 models produced. Think it was from a couple years ago on a PCA extracted site. But, I've been on so many sites, I can't remember.

If that is the case ... USA sales for ALL 911 models for 2015 and 2016 are around 9000 - 10,000 cars. (this is from the most recent Panorama magazine #719) Using these numbers, one would believe that USA numbers of Targas would be around 1200 - 1300 cars.

I would think that the T4 GTS models would make up just a fraction of the total number of ALL Targas ... for many reasons ... price, 2 vs 4wd, price, and, of course ... price. And, maybe other stuff as well.

Just a WAG from my perspective ... I'd say only 10% of all Targas would be T4 GTS models. Or, around 120-130 cars.

I must say that math is not in my wheel house, but guessing is.

Porsche won't release these numbers. If you're thinking the car might be worth more, I wouldn't waste any more time.

I don't understand your post. ??

I'm only interested in the number of cars being sent to the USA ... trying to see how many Porsche is releasing to the US. I don't think they will be worth any more than sticker. Hopefully, less.

Plus, I'd suspect that if you took ALL the Porsche dealers in the USA ... what ever that number is ... and give them each 1 allocation, you'd have the number. Some will have 2-3 allocations ... others will have none I suspect.

Just a WAG. ?

From what I can determine ... there are fewer than 190 Porsche dealers in the USA.

So ... based on what I just posted (which is really just a WAG) .. the number of Targa 4 GTS cars imported will be around 200 units. Total GTS cars would be more, but I think coupes would be a higher number than Targas ... and, T4 would be the lessor of all models. ??

Does this make any sense to you guys?

Are you worried about getting one? Don't sweat it.

No, I'm not concerned. I'm sure I have one "in the pipeline" ... just waiting for the codes to fall.

Just curious about the number of cars coming in to the country. Wondering how few T4 GTS will be imported. Just curious.

I suspect my car won't be in the country until June ... maybe later. Not a problem. I won't be hitch hiking.

Too early to tell how many at this point. Pure speculation. Allocations this year are being increased by 10% to the US over last year too.

The GTS will also be two model years.

The targa GTS holds value pretty damn near a GT cars. I don't know the numbers but they will be in VERY short order. If I was thinking about value alone, Id probably go with a targa.

Interesting. My local dealer told me last weekend that they'll be getting "at least 2 or 3 them". I thought he even said GTS's but I can't be sure. And these guys are NOT big-time (no 918's and very few GT3RS's for example). If these guys are getting them then I'm somewhat suspicious of how rare they may be

When I ordered my 2016 991.1 Targa GTS the dealer told me there were only 300 allocations in the US. From what I recall, 2016 was the only model year that the 991.1 Targa GTS was made.

This is pretty close to my WAG in my initial posts.

I still think this would place the T4 GTS at around 120 - 130 cars.

We will see. I just want ONE !

If your WAG was 200 to 300-ish, why are you saying 120-130?
