Default Cars and Kids

Since at least one of the advantages of having a 911 is that you're kids can enjoy it too.

Here is my daughter, we are going out to the Golf Club for a Father/Daughter Dance/Date night tonight, so she is all done up. She is six. I'll miss these years.

Great pictures.

Enjoy these days while you can as they go by so incredibly quick.

And oh yes. Begin collecting (and displaying) large firearms.

Beautiful girl! I have 7 year old twin girls and they love riding in the convertible. Until one of them touches the other of course. Lol

@99999, with a daughter and car like that, every day is Father's Day. Congrats!

99999:

You're very lucky. Enjoy! My 9-year old daughter doesn't like my car but my 8 year-old son loves it!

I get sad as they grow older sometimes. It's great that you recognize these years as I know lots of guys too preoccupied with their careers.

My predicament is that I want a GT3 and I'm nervous to let my boy ride in front even though it's perfectly legal in my state.

In my province, kids under 12 have to sit in the back seat. My 7 and 10 year olds fit just fine in boosters and in 2 years my 10 year (who will be 12 then) will move to the front.

my girl rides in the back too. I just had her up front for the photo. But the back seats are really fantastic for kids. They are so close they are practically sitting with you. My kids love that.

Enjoy! Before you know it, you'll be teaching her to drive. I did that with my daughter in a MT Subaru. She still takes a lot of pride in being able to drive a MT.

When my daughter was 14 my brother also had a 996; this was in 2003 and it was a new car. He had trouble with the infamous 2nd gear pop-out and Porsche was replacing the transmission and clutch under warranty. But a new one had to make its way to Atlanta and that took a few days or weeks. During that time, my brother taught my daughter how to drive and how to use a clutch -- on his 2000-mile 911!
