My dealer already has a .2 GTS Targa allocation. Spoke with my SA a few days ago.
My .1 GTS is on a lease that ends in 14 months so I was considering discussing it more with him since I could get out of my lease at any point within 12 months of its end date, no penalty.
Place the . 2 order now and in March/April (estimate) turn mine in and have a nice new GTS with melt your face off torque.
I quickly came to my senses when I walked into my garage and checked out my .1 GTS. It's perfect in every way and I will likely hold onto her after the lease period concludes. After all, how fast do I really need to go!?!?
I must admit though, I was tempted...

According to MT: The GTS treatment is available on the rear-drive 911 Carrera GTS Coupe ($120,050) and 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet ($132,350), and the all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe ($126,950), 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet ($139,250), and 911 Targa 4 GTS ($139,250).

I'm glad I changed my order to a TT - if I had stuck with the loaded 991.2 C2S I'd have been green with envy and cursed myself for impatience at this point! Also would have lost a fair bit of money as a lot of the cosmetic and performance options I wanted look like they'll be included on the GTS and therefore cheaper.
Porsche gives nothing away.

With GTS you can get the widebody rear drive. Only way to get it.
Centerlocks and Alcantara exclusive to GTS too.
The X51 powerkit will soon be an option for the C2S's.
There is a small savings with the bundled packages on the GTS vs. going all ala carte

Yes same body, but only way to get "rear drive only" on a widebody is the GTS. The C4S is AWD.
Obviously there is a 4 GTS as well!

So, there may be value with the rear wheel drive GTS, but the only reason to get a 4 GTS is...well, 30hp and GTS badge.
To each his own. Or should I say, do your homework first.

The price difference compared to a comparably equipped C4S (including SPASM, SportDesign packages, Spyder wheels) is ~$15,000. That's a big difference for 30hp, black wheels, and GTS badge.

Plus new Sport Design package (front bumper and rear spoiler), centerlock wheels, and X51 package.
Worth the upcharge $$$

Yes, but extra $$$ as an option on the Carrera. Standard on the GTS.
Marketing or whatever. It's the car business.
A GTS is a sum of parts pretty much with some cosmetics. Nothing new. Still a great package.
BTW, much better than this "hot stuff" (in more than one way).

The GTS is just the Porsche equivalent of the McDonald's Value Meal.
No need for anyone to get worked about it one way or the other.
