I had no problem with the 14ways in my Cayman, as I never felt like they intended your body to fit between the seat back bolsters. Never minded them. However, after I spent a fair bit of time in the other seats, I really started to notice the difference. I think if one stays away from the 18s, or if they simply want a less locked in seat, the 14 ways are fine. They were never uncomfortable.

All that said, the 18ways are not super wide at the top either and I think some big people might have trouble with either.

Having had the 14s, the 18s and the 4waySS Plus, if I were speccing a car today, I'd most likely take the 4way SS Plus.
