I read a recent review, I think Motortrend, pitting the 991.2 against a new Corvette. and the P car blew the doors off the vette in straight line speed. Shockingly fast....

Just for you Jimbo - you will see from the footage the C2S had the drop on the AMG GT S for most of the way. The AMG GT S shot through at the end as you would expect for a car with such an enormous torque/power advantage.
