I have a question about the two color Porsche leather interiors:
For my 2015 MY 991 GTS I ordered the combination of Black Leather/Garnet Red Leather. The entire dashboard, including all the way to the windshield defroster vents is in Black Leather. Most of the dash is Black Leather as well, down to the level of the aluminum/car-colored decorative strips. The doors are the same: Black leather down to the decorative strips. The seats, bottom of the dash, and all of the doors below the decorative strips are in Garnet Red Leather. The rear seats, center area between the seat bottoms, and lower rear side panels are in Garnet Red Leather. The areas immediately under the rear side windows are Black Leather. All the Black Leather in the car has Red Deviated Color stitching (if I recall correctly, the car is hibernating), including up near the windshield defroster vents, as well as around the flat air vents on the dash top, the center speaker and the sport chrono area. The area surrounding the four vertical air vents facing the driver/passenger is also in Black Leather, with Red deviated stitching.
I believe that all of the Black Leather in my car should be P-Leather, or protected/coated leather. But, according to the 2015 Configurator, the Garnet Red Leather is A-Leather, or Aniline/Natural leather. I'm wondering if the Garnet Red Leather in the two-color leather interior is Natural or Protected? One other question: When I look at and carefully feel the Black Leather that is normally used in 991s with all Black leather interiors, it feels much harder/stiffer (more like a coating) than the Black Leather in my particular car. Even though I have never seen any indication that Porsche offers Black Natural Leather, there is a significant difference between the Black Leather in my car and the Black Leather, even in full Black Leather interiors.
I have to admit that both the Black and Garnet Red leathers in my car seem particularly nice, but I still need to know if one, both, or neither is Natural leather- for proper cleaning purposes?
I'm hoping addysdaddy can help out here, or anybody else. Thanks in advance

I don't know for sure. If the configurator is telling you it's NATURAL leather, then yes, it's "A" / uncoated leather. I would call Porsche and get a definitive answer. If you don't want to bother then I would just use the Leather Masters kit designed for "A" leather to be safe. Won't hurt anything if you have "P" leather - but me...I would call and get an answer.
One of the Personal Design Specialist out of GA or CA would easily know or could find out for you. Unfortunately Melissa Witek is no longer working with Porsche, she's with MB now - but whoever replaced her can easily give you the correct answer. I was very fortunate in having her help me configure my car. Super knowledgeable along with being very nice! Shouldn't take more than one phone call.

Unless it specifically states that it's for aniline leather (untreated/natural) then I wouldn't use it. For "P"rotected leather interiors, find something you like and use it often. I checked the Griots website and there is no mention whatsoever that the cleaner or the conditioner is intended for aniline leather interiors. Wouldn't use it on my interior.

Kwikit356 If you haven't solved your riddle yet you might also try the 991 homepage second from top stickie. Custom ordering a 991----Porsche Exclusive. Z356 or Eduardo on that thread probably knows the answer.

Addysdaddy- thanks for the tip on the glass cleaner. More stuff to buy.
For those asking about leather cleaner. I have yellow deviated stitching and ventilated seats. The leather masters products addysdaddy recommended worked great. Did not clog seats or dull the yellow.

from Autotopia (sister site) to Autogeek. Again if AG has what you want, they'll price match. -25% and free shipping is as good as it gets, so if you need something....now would be a good time.
