991.2 Base Carrera Suspension - DSC ?
Been driving my new 2017 991.2 Base Carrera for almost a month now and I'm very happy with it. Upgraded from a 2015 Boxster S that I really loved.
The 991.2 is my daily driver and I'm happy with the power available in the car. Don't need more since I'm not planning to track it.
Having said that, one thing that I'm not liking to much of the car, is the suspension feel specially when you are taking a curve at a high speed. The front part of the car feels like bouncing and it just doesn't make you feel safe. This was never a problem in my Boxtser S which had a lot of authority in the curves.
My 991.2 is equipped with PASM and is kept the whole time in "Sport" mode. I do have the same bouncy feeling even when I'm driving at high speed with the "Sport" button activated.
Anybody having the same issue ?
Been reading that by installing DSC, maybe this bouncy feeling could go away and that the car feels better planted when being pushed.
Can you guys share your experience with DSC ? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried checking your tire pressures? DSC will certainly help but even stock a 991 shouldn't feel bouncy... mind you I've never driven a base Carrera, 991.2 or otherwise.

Thanks guys for the feedback. My pressures are set to 32 and 35. I wouldn't think that 1 PSI difference wouldn't make a problem......
I will make sure tonight to read the manual in order to understand how TPMS works and how to set it up correctly since I have never really paid much attention to it.

You won't feel any difference a pound lower. Any 911 is going to feel different from a Boxster, but "bouncy" is not the feel it should have. There used to be shipping blocks in new cars. I don't know if there still are but you might check to see if there are any shipping fittings left in the shocks?

I was about to post the same thing as above. Your pressures are close-enough to comfort pressures. The next-easiest explanation is that the shipping blocks weren't removed during PDI.

That isn't the issue. That is so incredible rare. Also, he would feel it at all times, not just high speed cornering.

Have you had your wheel alignment checked? Just had 1.5deg negative camber put on front and it transformed the feel of the car - much more confidence-inspiring now. But I wouldn't have said it was ever bouncy though, more just a bit vague. I do think a given 911 will just not feel as good in the first half of a corner as a given Boxster/Cayman though, just because of where the weight is.
