No. Only the S comes standard with LSD with PTV. The option is not even available with the Base unless you get the C4.

Which is part of the appeal of the base to some people. I drove a base cab MT the other day and it was pretty quick. I must say I couldn't notice any turbo lag.
Graphite Blue is beautiful.

Yeah but limited slip differential has nothing to do with straight line performance. More to do with mid corner inside wheel slippage.

Just FYI in case you are interested: Both 991.1 and 991.2 S models use a mechanical LSD on manual cars and a continuously-variable electronic LSD on the PDK cars.

At the time, both the .1 base and .1S could be ordered with SPASM, which was mated with the PTV+.

From reading the forum and STG's thread I have gained greater appreciation for Porche's pricing strategy. I was surprised that ltd slip was not an option on the base 991.2 or std. After driving the base and S back to back I thought the base provided plenty of performance. In any event I am still a good year from making any real decision.

As I’m searching for info on LSD on the 991.2 I found this thread.

Am I to believe that my 991.2 S with PASM-S and PDK has an actual LSD?

I ask because the way the car reacts to slipping, truly feels like the rear brakes are correcting.

with a manual, it has a mechanical diff

With a pdk, it does not have the electronic diff like the s or gts. It is like a base model.
